HA NOI (VNS) — Viet Nam Coal and Minerals failed to narrow its gap with leading teams, following their 2-2 draw with Ha Noi 2 in the second leg of the National Women’s Football Championship in Ha Nam Province on Saturday.
Ha Noi 2 who are near the bottom of the ranking table had the opener by Bach Thu Hien at the 14th minute.
Nguyen Thi Hanh levelled the score 18 minutes later from a close-range shoot.
It was 2-1 for Viet Nam Coal and Minerals 10 minutes after the interval when Tran Thi Thu kicked in from a narrow angle. But, Hien let them be happy only 15 minutes before she had her second goal.
Coal and Minerals now have 14 points and sit at the fourth position.
In another match, Tao Dan had their first point after a 0-0 draw with TNG Thai Nguyen.
After 12 rounds, HCM City are at the top with 26 points, followed by Ha Noi 1 (25 points), and hosts Phong Phu Ha Nam (14).
The next round will be held tomorrow, with HCM City vs Thai Nguyen and Tao Dan vs Ha Noi 1. — VNS
