Vietnam Airlines offers free test flights of new wide-body airplanes

The national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines will offer free test flights on Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh City route on July 3 on the occasion of receiving its new wide-body airplanes, including 19 Boeing 787 and 14 Airbus A350.

As planned, the carrier will receive 33 wide-body airplanes, including 19 Boeing 787 and 14 Airbus A350 from June till 2019.

Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and Airbus A350-900 are among the world’s most modern and advanced wide-body aircrafts.

VNA said it is planning to change aircrafts which are able to help save energy and environmental friendly.

They will be used on international long routes and destinations in the country, Europe and North America, including Hanoi-Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi/Ho Chi Minh City-London/Frankfurt, Hanoi-Paris/Seoul.

This move is aimed to promote its brandname to be the first carrier in Asia to own the wide-body aircraft types.
