Toyota Motor Vietnam Company launches youth football camp Related image(s)

(CPV) - The Toyota Motor Vietnam Company (TMV) on June 19th launched the “Toyota junior football clinic and camp 2015″ on June 19 for boys aged 9 to 11, under the technical supervision of former famous footballer Nguyen Hong Son.

This is the first time the company has organised the event with the assistance from the Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training.

The qualifying round is planned to take place in the four major cities of Hanoi, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh and Can Tho from July 5th – 26th to seek the 30 best players, then camp and training activities will be slated from August 8th-14th in Ho Chi Minh city. The final stage features a trip to Japan (from August 27th-31st) to play a friendly match for the best 18 members with a youth team from the Japan Football Association.

Mr Yoshihisa Maruta, TMV General Director, said though this project, the Company hopes to encourage and cultivate the love with ball for Vietnamese boys, thus actively contributing to the bilateral relationships between Vietnam and Japan.

The event is part of the Toyota Mekong Football Project initiated by the Toyota Motor Asia-Pacific since 2014 in the Mekong river region, which includes the Toyota Mekong Clubs Championship and the Toyota Mekong Football Challenge.

The organizing board welcomes candidates from June 19th to July 26th through TMV authorized agencies nationwide or via website www.toyota.com.vn./.
