HA NOI (VNS) — Japanese trainer Masakuni Yamamoto praised the little participants of the three-week training course of the Yamaha Motor Vietnam’s For the Future of Viet Nam Football programme.

Yamamoto said the 150-young athletes in three different age groups have good speed, endurance, and determination, and they never give up.

He noted that if given proper care and support, several of them will prove to be great assets for the national team in the future.

Yamamoto and his crew are in Nghe An Province to conduct a similar course for children in the central region.

This is the fourth year in a row that such football clinic has been organised in Viet Nam.

After the first two successful years in Ha Noi, organisers have expanded the scope of the programme to Nghe An, the country’s most well-known football hub. — VNS
