Activities to welcome 40 years of Vietnam-Mozambique diplomatic ties Related image(s)

(CPV) - The Republic of Mozambique from Southeastern Africa will celebrate 40 years of National Independence on June 25th, 2015.

In the very same day, Mozambique and Vietnam will celebrate 40 years of the establishment of diplomatic relations.

In line with decisions undertaken by both countries, celebratory activities will take place both in the capitals of Maputo (Mozambique) and Hanoi (Vietnam).

According to Mozambican Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr Gamiliel Munguambe, the Embassy of Mozambique in Vietnam, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Mozambique and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam will organise a cultural week in Hanoi, which will comprise cultural, sport and gastronomic activities, from June 13th – 19th.

A football tournament is planned to take place on June 13th at the premises of the Vietnam Football Federation, with games being played between Mozambican community in Vietnam and teams from the Party and the Government institutions as well as from Viettel, followed by an inaugural dinner at Aquaria restaurant.

On June 16th, a gala performance by the Mozambique National Song and Dance Company will be staged at the Opera House in Hanoi. Then, on June 19th, La Salsa Restaurant in Hanoi will serve a special Mozambique whole menu dinner.

The bilateral trade revenue between Vietnam and Mozambique has reached around USD300-400million so far, in which traditional cooperation sectors are gas and oil, education, agriculture, telecommunications and health./.
