VCF and GIBTK: To support surgeries for children with congenital heart

Chairman of the PPC has just approved a project of supporting surgeries for children with congenital heart co-donated by VinaCapital Foundation (VCF) and Giving It Back to Kids (GIBTK). ​

Accordingly, 150 children with congenital heart disease selected across the province will be supported heart surgeries at Da Nang hospital, Hue Central Hospital and Heart Institute in Ho Chi Minh City.

The project covers about VND 6.9 billion, including the capital of VCF and GIBTK (VND 4.7 billion). To jointly share with the donors, the provincial budget will, as scheduled, contribute VND 2.2 billion to implement some stages before and after the operation activities for children.

The project will be implemented in the period of 2015-2019.

Reportedly, over 100 children in the province received heart surgeries under the Project of Congenital Cardiac Disease Operation for Children funded by VCF and GIBTK in the 2010-2014 period.
