Neary 200 representatives from the Ho Chi Minh young Pioneer Organization gathered on May 23 for the 18th Quang Ngai Congress of Uncle Ho’s Good Children.
Present at the Congress were Vice Chairman of the provincial people’s Committee Le Quang Thich, Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnamese Fatherland Front Committee Tran Hoa, representatives of departments, agencies, Education and Training department of districts and city.
Speaking at the Congress, Leader of public relation board of the provincial Party Committee Bui Thi Quynh Van praised the achievements obtained by young people who are striving to follow Uncle Ho’s teachings, especially 178 commended children at this Congress.
Van hoped they will study harder and become good citizens to contribute to the cause of national construction and defense aimed at making the country wealthier and stronger.
She also urged authorities at all levels, organizations as well as teachers and parents to show a high sense of responsibility towards further protecting and educating children, providing them with a better environment for entertainment and study, encouraging them to get involved in social activities and preventing child abuse. They should join efforts to build up the strength of the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization, especially in remote and disadvantaged areas.
