(VOV) – Vietnamese young tennis player Ly Hoang Nam advanced to the third round of the Grade A Trofeo Bonfiglio tournament on May 20 after triumphing 2-0 over his US Vasil Kirkov.
Nam dominated the first and second sets with scores of 7-5 and 6-2, respectively.
He will face off Wu Tung-lin from Taiwan (China) in the third round.
If Nam defeats Taiwanese rival, he will have a chance to compete with Brazilian player Orlando Luz, who is seeded No.1 of the tournament in the quarter-finals.
The Trofeo Bonfiglio tournament-an annual event of International Tennis Federation (ITF) will run to May 24 in Milan, Italy.
