PANO – The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City and Ton Duc Thang Museum on March 30th held a ceremony to observe the 35th death anniversary of President Ton Duc Thang (March 30th 1980 – March 30th 2015).
At the ceremony, representatives of Ho Chi Minh City’s departments, sectors, and organizations offered incense in commemoration of President Ton Duc Thang, the eminent communist of Vietnam.
Also at the event, the Ton Duc Thang Museum received 104 items reflecting the life and career of the late president, 32 letters of his descendants presented by his adopted daughter Ton Tuyet Dung, and a portrait of the president made of palmyra leaves presented by Mr. Vo Van Tang in An Giang province.
The same day, the museum opened an exhibition theme “Uncle Ton and the South”, which lasts till the end of August.
