Since many ceremonies will be held on the streets in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate Reunification Day (April 30), make sure you follow the right routes in this article to spare yourself a bottleneck.
Many streets in the downtown area will be blocked from April 22 to 30 during different times, according to the Department of Transport.
As scheduled, these streets will be shut down from 7:00 am to 11:00 am on April 22, 6:00 pm to 12:00 pm on April 24, 4:00 am to 11:00 am on April 26, and 4:00 am to 12:00 am on April 30.
A big area will be closed for the celebrations, bounded by Nguyen Binh Khiem, Nguyen Huu Canh, Le Thanh Ton, Pham Hong Thai, Cach Mang Thang Tam, and Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Streets.

Vehicles traveling from Binh Thanh District to District 5 and District 10 are advised to cross the Thi Nghe Bridge, turn right into Hoang Sa Street, go along that street, turn left into Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, and then go straight or go along Nguyen Dinh Chieu and then turn right into Nguyen Binh Khiem before reaching Dien Bien Phu Street.
From District 5 to Binh Thanh District, drivers are recommended to run on Dien Bien Phu Street to go straight to the Hang Xanh Crossroads or turn right into Nguyen Binh Khiem Street, go along that street, and then turn left into Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.
From Binh Thanh District to District 4, drivers can run on Dien Bien Phu Street before turning into Nguyen Huu Canh Street at the foot of the Saigon Bridge or Dinh Tien Hoang at the far end of the street.
For those traveling from Tan Binh District to District 4, they should take a roundabout route from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street to Dien Bien Phu Street, then Nguyen Huu Canh Street, and Ton Duc Thang Street, or from Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street to Vo Thi Sau Street and Cach Mang Thang Tam Street.
