Ms. Nguyen Thi Xuan Hong, Head of Tan Luong Communal Women’s Union, confided: “In the past, livestock used to be grazed in their garden with overgrown weeds, the Village’s cultural house was degraded. With the situation, as the leadership of the Communal Party Committee, the direction of the Communal Standing Women’s Association, the campaign “Building up family with 5-No and 3-Clean” associated with constructing new countryside was organized to implement. Since then, we often hold association meetings, advocating the Party’s policies, the State’s laws and policies; guiding the women how to organize family life, parenting, implementing family planning, making cages for poultry away from home, cleaning house, garden, growing kinds of vegetables…”
Besides, the movement to help families with economic development is especially paid attention. The Association has mobilized its members and the clubs of “Women with good economic development”, “No third child”, “Happy family with 5-No, 3-Clean” to contribute over VND 25 million to the fund which has been lent to village women, with no interest; at the same time, mobilizing women to help workday or breeding of chickens, ducks, pigs to invest in livestock production. In addition, the Association creates conditions for the women to make loans from the Bank of Social Policy, participate in the course of scientific and technical transfer … In the spirit of solidarity, the Association appeals to the women to take part in the model “Rice Jar of love”, “piggy banks” to help the solitude elderly, women and children in especially difficult circumstances in the village; mobilizing their members to implement thrift, manage savings capital in the teams, women groups helping each other to develop production …
Implementing Directive 03-CT/TW by the Politburo on continuing to promote studying and following the moral example of President Ho Chi Minh, in the periodical meetings, the Association has read the stories about Uncle Ho besides the meeting content; campaigning 100% officials and members to maintain and well-promote the movement of hanging Uncle Ho pictures at solemn places in their houses; propagating members and women to gradually eliminate the bad practices in the wedding, funerals; well-perform the military rear; mobilize members, women to actively participate in contributing money and labor days to concrete rural roads. From the movement, 19 women have donated 1,082m2 of land, particularly Mrs. Mi Diep donated 500m2 plot of her land to build the communal kindergarten. Smiling happily, Mrs. Mi Diep said, “My family has lots of land, presenting it to build school for kids is a good and meaningful job”.
