(Cinet)- Being one of some annual events, the 2015 Spring Book Festival has taken place from March 25 to 29 at the Vietnam Women’s Museum, No.36 Ly Thuong Kiet Street, Hanoi.


The festival comprises various cultural activities and promotion programs offering discounts up to 50 percent for the readers. The event is co-held by the Youth Publishing House, Kim Dong Publishing House, Women’s Publishing House, and the Vietnam Women’s Museum.


The event expects to honour the cultural values and tradition of reading with a goal of showcasing meaningful and interesting material for book lovers and providing opportunities for publishers to introduce new books directly to readers.


The event, organized by the Tre (Youth) Publishing House, Phu Nu (Women) Publishing House, Kim Dong Publishing House and the Vietnam Women’s Museum, will open from 8am to 9:30 pm between March 25 and March 29. “5,000 titles making their debut at the exhibition include attractive books of the Phu Nu (Women) Publishing House such as Dan ba ba muoi (Women in their 30s) by Trang Ha, Nua vong tron (Half a circle) by Ha Xu Thinh Vu; Song giua bay voi (Living with elephants) by Vu Hung, Mua au tho (The childhood) by Thai Huong Lien, “Cuoi cung thi dan ba muon gi” by Y Ban, ” Quan chuot” by Kieu Bich Hau, “Nguoi me so” by Marjolijn Hof.


Kim Dong Publishing House also released 06 books in a series of anima and forest such as “Song giua bay voi”, ” Mua san tren nui”…Some books about skill and knowledge to serve for a study and life.


The Youth Publishing House introduced some interesting books such as skill for the youth, book of science and story for children and adult.


Most notably, the book festival provides readers the chance to meet with famous authors and artists. According to the organizing board, visitors to the event can get 10%-50% discounts on all print materials.


The exhibition promises to be an open place for book-lovers to share their hobbies.


The exhibition closes on March 29th.
