PANO – Japan has agreed to provide US$ 580,000 for six projects in the fields of health, education, and environment in Southern Vietnam. The non-refundable aid package was signed on March 6th in Ho Chi Minh City.
Accordingly, the fund will be used for the construction of a water treatment system in Hung Thanh commune of Dong Thap province’s Thap Muoi district and Ea Tir Primary School in Ea Tir commune of Dak Lak province’s Ea H’leo district and for upgrading a kindergarten, a primary school, and a secondary school in Ninh Thuan province’s Bac Ai district. The financial assistance also goes for health projects to purchase medical equipment for Tra Cu district General Hospital of Tra Vinh province, Ninh Thuan provincial Reproductive Healthcare Centre and Thanh Giang district Medical Centre in Kien Giang province.
All parties concerned are committed to strictly and effectively carry out the projects, making contributions to improving people’s living standards and to boosting local socio-economic development.
