Free Japanese street dances in Hanoi Related image(s)
| According to the Japan Foundation Center for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam, Japanese dance performances which are based on street dance will take place on March 14 th and 15th at the Youth Theatre at 11 Ngo Thi Nham street, Hanoi. Three groups, including “Moreno Funk Sixers”, “Memorable Moment” and “90’s”, will perform their new pieces in various genres like Jazz, Hip-Hop, Break, House, Pop and Lock. Free tickets can be collected at the JapanFoundationCenter for Cultural Exchange at No 27 Quang Trung Street. Apart from the stage performances, Japanese dancers will interact with Vietnamese dancers through workshops from March 12th to 15th and explore the possibility of future collaboration. The event is part of a long-term ASEAN project entitled “Dance Dance Asia” launched by the Japan Foundation’s Asia Centre in 2015. The project aims to the exchange and collaboration of Asian regional dance companies that are based on street dance, including, not only hip-hop, but a variety of other genres, such as jazz dance and contemporary dance./. |
