On March 2nd, in Hanoi, more than 650 Vietnamese and international writers, poets and translators attended an exhibition


“Vietnamese literature with international readers”.


The event is one of a series of activities to promote the Vietnamese literature to international audiences held from March 1st to 7th in Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Bac Ninh provinces.


At the exhibition, participants were introduced objects exhibited at the Vietnamese Literature Museum, especially the part on Vietnamese literature and international readers.


After visiting the exhibition, Bakhikozha Restemov from the Republic of Kazakhstan said that the museum had an important role in popularizing Vietnamese literature abroad.


According to Nguyen Thanh Minh, director of Vietnamese Literature Museum, there are three exhibiting areas with nearly 3,000 objects selected from 40,000 objects kept at the museum.


The first area is about writings of Vietnamese ethnic minority groups and Vietnamese ancient literature. The second is about modern Vietnamese literature and writers presented Ho Chi Minh Award on literature and art. The third is photos and objects about writers presented State Award on literature and arts, congresses of Vietnamese Writers’ Association, exchanges on Vietnamese and international literature.


There is also a showroom on life in rural areas in Vietnam at the museum.


Two seminars on Vietnamese literature and poetry will take place in Hanoi on March 4th. Concluding the seminars, participants will visit Bac Ninh province to enjoy Quan ho folk singing performances and take part in international poetry night./.
