Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education Dinh The Huynh on February 4th visited and wished Happy New year to families of outstanding scientists, journalists and artists in Hanoi. The scientists, journalists and artists included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nong Van Hai, Director of Institute of Genome Research under Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology; writer Do Chu, who was presented the Presidents Ho Chi Minh Award for Literature and Arts 2012; Prof. Dr. Tran Quy, former director of Bach Mai hospital; and journalist Pham Phu Bang from the People’s Army Newspaper. He said that the Party and State always recognized and appreciated contributions by intellectuals to the revolutionary cause of the Party, in the field of science research, education and training, health, literature and arts, all of which contribute to national socio-economic development. Mr. Huynh expressed his hope that scientists, journalists and artists continued their intellectual contribution to the revolutionary cause of the nation, participating in science research and training young scientists for the nation to obtain more recognised achievements. The intellectuals said that they would continue making their contribution .to the cause of education and training, scientific research, health care for people and creation of literature and arts./.
