Over 1,000 antiques displayed and auctioned at Nam Dinh provincial museum Related image(s)
The northern Nam Dinh provincial Museum has displayed and auctioned over 1,000 antiques as part of the activities to celebrate the Lunar New Year 2015. This annual event was held on the seventh day of the first lunar month by the Thien Truong Antiques Association and the UNESCO Club for Vietnam antique research and collection. It drew the participation of many antique clubs from provinces and cities nationwide such as Hanoi, the northern city of Hai Phong, the northern provinces of Nam Dinh, Hai Duong, Ninh Binh, Thai Binh and Vinh Phuc, the central province of Thanh Hoa and Ho Chi Minh city and thousands of visitors. Objects on display were mainly ceramic, porcelain, crockery, woodwork and ironwork dating from AD to the dynasties of Ly, Tran and Le. The exhibition and auction aimed to raise money for charity and create an opportunity for antique collectors to gather and exchange private collections as well as share experience on antique assessment and conservation./. |
