A flower village in Ho Chi Minh City’s Go Vap District is more lively these days.

Traders and families come here in droves to buy from a wide variety of flowers, including apricot blossom, sunflower, marigold and orchid.

They are in preparation for Tet, the traditional Vietnamese Lunar New Year, which falls on February 19 this year.

Go Vap is one of the three largest flower suppliers to Vietnam’s southern region. The two others are Sa Dec in the Mekong Delta and Da Lat in the Central Highlands.
