Thousansds of students and young people joined the blood donation festival “Red Sunday 2015″ which was held at Hanoi University of Science and Technology on January 25.
Deputy PM Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Kim Tien, First Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Doan Nguyen Duc Vinh attended the event.
The Deputy PM praised contributions by relevant agencies and volunteers to the event and emphasized the increasing demand for blood.
He asked on volunteers, students, the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and media agencies to propaganda the campaign and mobilize people to donate blood.
Blood donation festival “Red Sunday 2015″ took place in 18 provinces and cities nationwide. The annual event aims collected around 15,000 units of blood in an effort to meet the increasing demand for blood for emergency aid and treatment in hospitals during the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday.
