(Cinet)- Quang Nam established a scientific document for Mukhalinga, a statue of the Hindu god Shiva, to submit the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for national treasure.
According to a scientific document of Quang Nam Provincial People’s Committee, the Mukhalinga is a statue of the Hindu god Shiva in 7th and 8th century. The statue is a yellow brown stone statue in three parts shaped like a circle, an octagon and a square. The yellow brown stone statue was discovered near the E4 tower of the My Son Sanctuary after a heavy downpour in 2012.

According to vice-manager of Quang Nam Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ho Xuan Tinh said that one of some important aspects to recognize the Mukhalinga as national treasure was a unique value and sculptural arts.
