Over 600 documents and artifacts presented to Hanoi Museum Related image(s)







Hanoi Museum has received more than 600 documents and artifacts donated from organizations and individuals.

The information was released by Hanoi city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism on November 18th at a ceremony to review a three-month campaign to call for document and artifact donations for Hanoi Museum.


Out of the donated items, 259 belonged to Hanoians who lived through the war against the US, while 387 others originated from the subsidy period.


They included a set of seals used by Dong Da district’s Trading Office from 1958 to 1986, photos taken of Hanoi from above by US spy planes, and a collection of stamps showing the number of US military aircrafts shot down by Hanoi’s armed forces and citizens.


On this occasion, the Organizing Board presented certificates of merit to organizations and individuals who donated documents and artifacts to the Museum.

Hanoi city Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism continued to welcome more donations to the Museum from everyone in 2015./.
