Ten-month retail sales hit 2.4 trillion VND

Retail sales of goods and services in the first ten months of this year reached nearly 2,400 trillion VND (114.3 billion USD), a year-on-year increase of 11.1 percent.

In October alone, the figure was over 251 trillion VND (11.9 billion USD), up 1.6 percent against the previous month and 10.7 percent year-on-year.

Of the total, the goods retail sales amounted to over 1,800 trillion VND, accounting for 75.4 percent.

In the ten-month period, the retail sales of the State-owned sector was 243 trillion VND, up 9.4 percent, while those of the non-State and foreign direct investment (FDI) sectors was 2,075 trillion VND and 80.6 trillion VND, up 11 percent and 20 percent, respectively.-VNA
