(VOV) -The Temasek Foundation of Singapore is to help train 140 Vietnamese officials at the provincial, municipal and district levels between now to late 2015 at the Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
The pledged was made at an October conference in Hanoi reviewing a cooperation programme between the NTU and Vietnam under Project 165 which is designed to train government officials overseas, using funds from the State budget.
The focus of the courses will be on improving leadership capacities, developing human resources and sharing public management experience from Singapore.
The cooperation programme will help increase the officials’ leadership capacity in the international integration process and contribute to stepping up cooperation between the two nations.
Under Project 165, Vietnam collaborated with the Nanyang Technological University to run medium and short-term training course for 148 Vietnamese officials last year.
