The sports and physical training school in the northern province of Quang Ninh inaugurated its new 2014-2015 academic year on October 26. Operating as a specialized educational unit with 255 students practicing in 17 subjects in the last academic year, it provided the province with a strong source of training and cultivating talent. Athletes have participated national youth and junior sporting events, pocketing 58 medals in the process including,13 gold, 22 silver and 23 bronze, well exceeding the target of 29 medals. Students also demonstrated good results in their general academic studies with 62 of them honored with certificates of merit or excellence. In the last year, the provincial People’s Committee presented a Certificate of Outstanding Merit to the school, while the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also awarded a Certificate of Merit./.
