HA NOI (VNS) – Six teams will participate in the international U21 football tournament that will be organised in Can Tho City from October 19 to 28.
Two Vietnamese teams, namely national champions Song Lam Nghe An and Hoang Anh Gia Lai Arsenal JMG Academy, will compete with teams from Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Australia.
They have been divided into two groups, with Song Lam Nghe An playing Singapore in the opening match.
The tournament is an annual event organised by the Thanh Nien newspaper and the Viet Nam Football Federation.
Last year, Viet Nam won the trophy by beating Australia 4-1 in a penalty shootout. – VNS
