Campaign supports women’s health

HA NOI (VNS) – The Ministry of Health will launch a campaign for women’s health next Monday, with an aim to mobilise community support for buying health insurance cards for poor and near-poor women.

Health insurance coverage reached 69 per cent of the country’s population by the end of 2013, including 100 per cent of poor and ethnic minority households, according to health ministry statistics. But only 38.8 per cent of near-poor families have health insurance, despite the Government supporting up to 70 per cent of the service’s fees. – VNS
