Winners of Vietnam Tourism Awards announced

Nhan Dan Online – The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced winners of the 2013 Vietnam Tourism Awards at a ceremony held at Hanoi Opera House on September 26.

The awards, hosted by Vietnam National Administration of Tourism and Vietnam Tourism Association, honoured 70 outstanding travel agencies, hotels, services providers and carriers in the country.

Categories of the awards included Top 10 five-star hotels, Top 10 four-star hotels, Top 10 three-star hotels, Top 10 domestic tour operators, Top 10 inbound tour providers, and Top 10 outbound tour providers.

Hanoi’s Metropole and Melia hotels were honoured as Top 10 five-star hotels in Vietnam.

In the Best Travel Agent category, there were popular names such as Saigontourist Co. Ltd and Fiditour JSC from Ho Chi Minh city and Vietnamtourism-Hanoi JSC.

Best Carriers, Best Restaurants and Best Shopping Facilities were also named at the ceremony.

The awards aim to encourage tourism businesses to improve their performance and service quality, lifting their brand names, and enhancing their competitiveness during the international integration.
