(Cinet) – As many as 250 traditional Vietnamese dresses (ao dai) by famous Vietnamese designers will be introduced at a festival to take place at Hanoi’s Temple of Literature on October 10.
This is one art and culture activity among a series to mark the 60th anniversary of the capitals Liberation Day (Oct.10).
The fashion show aims to honour traditional craft villages in Hanoi that have maintained and developed the craft for years. It will feature some typical craft villages such as Van Phuc silk village, Bat Trang ceramics village, and jewellery villages.
The festival will also draw the participation of nearly 60 artisans from 20 traditional villages.
The 250 Ao Dai samples in 15 collections by famous designers will be designed according to traditional Ao Dai sample of the nation, to be suitable with the solemnity of the stage space at the Temple of Literature.
