(VOV) – Defence Minister General Tran Dai Quang has expressed his conviction that the second Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Conference on crime prevention and control will achieve good results.
On July 28, Defence Minister General Tran Dai Quang received high-level military delegations led by Cambodian Interior Minister Sar Kheng and Laos Major General Acting Minister Somkeo Silavonga who came to attend the second Cambodia-Laos-Vietnam Conference on crime prevention and control taking place in central highland Lam Dong province.
Speaking at the meeting, Minister Quang emphasized that three neighboring countries- Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos- have maintained good relations, solidarity, traditional friendship and long-term and comprehensive cooperation over the past years.
“Strengthened relations between police force and defence ministries saw significant progress after the first conference which positively contributed to ensuring security and defence and boosting international integration and socio-economic development of each nation.” Quang noted.
He said he hopes that what achieve from this conference will help further step up cooperation among three defence ministries thus consolidating neighbourliness, solidarity and time-honoured friendship between the peoples of three nations.
