Petrol prices fall by VND330 per litre from 2pm

Nhan Dan Online – The retail prices of petrol were cut by VND330 per litres from 2pm on July 28, the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) has announced.


At the same time, the prices of diesel and kerosene were also slashed by VND350 per litre. The price of fuel oil remained unchanged as its retail price is VND25 per litre lower than the regulated base price.


After the price reduction, the price of RON 92 petrol went down to VND25,310 per litre from VND25,640 per litre and the price of RON 95 petrol dropped to VND25,810 from VND26,140.



According to the inter-Ministries of Finance and Industry and Trade, the prices were adjusted as the retail prices of petrol in the last 30 days are VND395 per litre higher than the regulated base prices. The selling prices of diesel and kerosene have also surpassed the regulated base prices VND346 per litre.


This was the second consecutive price decrease in July, following the drop between VND140- 190 per litre for diesel, fuel oil and kerosene in July 18. However, the prices of petrol were not lowered at that time.


This was the sixth price adjustment for petrol since early this year but the first-ever reduction.
