Ho Chi Minh City honours 831 heroic mothers

Nhan Dan/VNA – Ho Chi Minh City local authorities have awarded the Vietnamese Heroic Mother title to 831 late mothers in the city for their sacrifices for national independence.

The recognition came on the occasion of the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27).

The Party, State and entire nation have always respected and honoured those who dedicated their lives to the nation, said Deputy Chairman of the municipal People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem at a ceremony in Cu Chi district on July 27.

Their sacrifices are a noble deed and an invaluable and everlasting spiritual asset of our nation, he added.
