(Cinet)- An exhibition aims to mark the 50th anniversary of the first victory of the Vietnam People’s Navy and the northern militias (From August 2-5, 1964 to Agust 2-8, 2014).



On July 12, in Vinh city, Nghe An province, Department of Politics of Ministry of Navy Command, Vietnam Navy Museum in collaboration with Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a photo exhibition “sea, island and Naval soldier- the first victory reverberation”


120 photos, documents and artifacts presenting the importance of the sea in the development of national defense and economy, honoring Vietnamese navy protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands are displayed in the event.


The event also introduces 60 pictures on achivements and contribution of the people in Nghe An Province in the battle; and featuring their acivities towards the sea and islands.


The event will run until July 17.
