| Fighting cock islet in Ha Long bay (Photo: Internet) On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Ha Long Bay recognized by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage (December 17, 1994-December 17, 2014) Ha Long Bay Management Board has officially launched a contest to design souvenirs about Ha Long Bay. According to the organizers, the contest aims to choose souvenirs, which are good appearance and present characteristics, development strategy, attraction, process of formation development and advantages of Ha Long Bay to serve management, preservation and promotion of the value of Ha Long Bay as well as to produce gifts for shopping needs of visitors and gift for protocol and diplomatic activities. The organizers encourage contestants to use the specific materials of Quang Ninh province and Ha Long marine region and environment-friendly materials. The organizers will receive works until September 10 and announce the results on October 14. Each contestant may send more than one products to the contest. The contest will present two first prizes, each worth VND15 million, two second prizes, each worth VND10 million and two third prizes, each worth VND5 million./.
