(Cinet)- On July 14, in Hanoi, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations and the city Committee of Peace organised a photo exhibition entitled “15 years of Hanoi – city for peace” to mark the 15th anniversary of Hanoi’s recognition as the “City for Peace” by the UNESCO.



The exhibition introduces visitors photos by domestic and foreign photographers, historians and painters, who have strong attachment to Hanoi or are living and working in Hanoi.


Photos reflect thousand years of civilization of Hanoi, an active city for peace in development and integration.


The five-day event also introduces photos from the contests, “Hanoi-The city for peace” and “Peace for the East Sea“.


At the exhibition, with the corner themed “Peace for the East sea”, visitors will enjoy a significant activity, expressing the desire of Vietnamese people and international friends to maintain peace for the East sea as well as in the region and in the world by taking signatures to support peace on the East sea at www.haufo.org.vn.


The exhibition is not only an opportunity for people in the capital but also international friends express their feeling to Hanoi through photos, said Palestine Ambassador to Vietnam Saadi Salama, who has a photo displayed at the event.


The exhibition will run until July 19.
