The competition, “Cau Chuyen San Ga” (The Station Story), is designed for professional and non-professional Vietnamese photographers aged 18 to 35.

Competitors can submit one or several collections, each with 10 photos at maximum to cuocthi@unesco-cep.org.vn from now to July 15, 2014.

The award ceremony is expected to be held on August 2.

Submission can be both colored or black-white photos which revolve around the architecture/facilities, service and quality of the “station,” as well as stories which take place within it.

“Station” indicates the departure and destination points of a trip, such as coach, train, and bus stations and airport terminals.

The organizer will select excellent submissions to create a photo book, which reflects the current situation of the country’s “stations” and accentuates humanitarian values among public transport users.

The winning photos will be published in a magazine run by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.

The contest is part of the UNESCO-CEP’s “Hanh Trinh Xanh” (Green Journey), which aims to build a green community with a green transport system.

The project promotes the use of public and environmentally-friendly means of transport, and works toward the culture of urban transport.
