The shipment of ivory was said to have originated in Africa and transported through a number of countries before being discovered by customs officials.

The sender was identified as L.J.J company, and the consignee listed as T.L.O company.

The case is still under investigation.

Ivory is part of an elephant’s body – a wild animal listed among rare endangered species, and banned from trading by the Government of Vietnam and the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
