VietNamNet Bridge – Nearly 200 documents and precious historical artifacts about Buddhism were recently displayed at the exhibition “Cultural Heritage of Buddhism in Vietnam” in Hanoi. Included in the exhibits were:
A stone Buddha statue belonging to the Oc Eo culture, 6th and 7th centuries, excavated in Tra Vinh Province.
Buddha head statue made of sandstone of Champa culture, 9th century, excavated in Thang Binh , Quang Nam province.
Clay Buddhist stupa, Dinh - Tien Le Dynasties, 10th-11th centuries, discovered in Vinh Phuc Province and Thang Long Citadel, Hanoi.
Kinnari angel statue made of sandstone, decorative item at the Phat Tich Temple in Bac Ninh Province, Ly Dynasty, 1066.
Dragon-shaped handle on the bell at Van Ban Temple, in Do Son, Hai Phong from the Tran Dynasty, 13th-14th centuries.
Lotus-shaped incense burner, Le Trung Hung Dynasty (1705 - 1719), product of Bat Trang pottery village, Hanoi.
