Five documentaries with the theme of Vietnam’s sea and islands will be screened in Hanoi during the Documentary Day for Vietnam’s Sea and Islands on May 31st.
These five films include “Đầu sóng ngọn gió” (The most dangerous position) by director Ngoc Quynh, “Trường Sa tháng 4 năm 1988″ (Truong Sa in April 1988) by director Le Manh Thich, “Đảo Lý Sơn” (Ly Son island) by director Cong Duc Thanh, “Andre Menras – một người Việt” (Andre Menras – A Vietnamese person) by director Dao Thanh Tung, and “Biển của người Việt” (Sea of Vietnamese people) by director Dao Thanh Tung.
These films were produced during the period of struggle against the USA and national construction and defence.
The films praise the beauty of the homeland and people of Vietnam and the sacrifice of Vietnamese soldiers on sea and islands. They also encourage Vietnamese people to be willing to make sacrifices for national protection.
Free screenings will take place at 7pm on May 31st at the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio at 465 Hoang Hoa Tham Street, Ba Dinh District, Hanoi./.
