From May 20-26, diverse activities are



taking place in the central province of Quang Nam to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Hoi An ancient own being recognised as a World Cultural Heritage site and the 5th anniversary of Cu Lao Cham being recognized as the World Biosphere Reserves.


These activities include a workshop reviewing Cu Lao Cham Biosphere Reserve’s operation during the last five years and the launching of Cu Lao Cham tourism site; traditional games hailing from fishing villages in the locality; a tour on discovering Yen cave and Bai Huong fishing village in Cu Lao Cham.


A contest on studying about Hoi An through internet will be launched at http//:www.hoian.gov.vn.


Hoi An ancient town was recognised as a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO in 1999, and presented four awards in heritage management, protection and promotion. Cu Lao Cham islands’ ecosystem was officially added to the list of the World’s Biosphere Reserves in 2009./.
