Risk seen of hailstorms and whirlwinds in Southern Vietnam

VietNamNet Bridge – Whirlwinds and hailstorms may occur in the southern provinces and the Central Highlands in the last days of April and early May, says the Central Hydro-meteorological Forecast Center.


According to weather experts, there will be heat in the daytime and rain and thunderstorms in the evening in the Central Highlands and the Southern region in the next two weeks.

Thunderstorms tend to increase from April 26 to 28. Some places in the Central Highlands and the southeastern provinces will have whirlwinds accompanied by thunderstorms, hailstorms and strong wind.


At the same time, it will be very hot in the central provinces from Thanh Hoa to Quang Nam and Quang Ngai on April 25-26, with temperatures from 35 to 37 degrees Celsius.


From the evening on April 26, thunderstorms and rain will be spreading to the provinces of Thanh Hoa to Thua Thien-Hue. The temperature will plummet and hot weather will end.


From the evening of April 30 to May 1, it is likely that a new round of rainstorms will repeat in this area.


For the provinces from Binh Dinh to Binh Thuan, the weather during the upcoming holiday (May1-4) will be stable.
