Book exhibition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory

The Organizing Board presented book to military units

On April 28, in Dien Bien Phu city, the Ministry of Information and Communications coordinated with Dien Bien provincial People’s Committee to open a book exhibition to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu victory.

The exhibition brings to visitors more than 1000 books, including many updated documents, newspapers, magazines, studies and reminiscences by officers and soldiers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu campaign. Documents affirmed the lucid leadership of the Party and Uncle Ho, the effort and solidarity of the people nationwide in the struggle against the French colonialists in general and in the Dien Bien Phu campaign in particular.

Books are displayed arranged according to topics about Uncle Ho and General Vo Nguyen Giap with the Dien Bien Phu victory, Dien Bien’s 60 years of development and achievements in the publishing sector.

The event is an opportunity to introduce readers to the historical values and significances of the Dien Bien Phu victory as well as the achievements of the publishing sector over the past years.

At the opening ceremony, the Ministry of Information and Communications and publishers presented books to agencies and military units in the Dien Bien province.

The exhibition will run until May Day./.
