Vietnam sees export excess to Canada Vietnam export turnover to Canada reached US$143.64 million in January, an increase of 20.76 percent over the same period last year, according to customs.

The major items of export are garment and textile, aquatic products, footwear, timber and wooden furniture


Revenue of garment and textiles reached US$40.36 million, an increase of 30.32 percent over the last period and accounting for 28.2 percent of total export turnover. Aquatic products reached US$15.73 million, an increase of 67.23 percent over the same period last year and accounting for 11 percent of total export turnover. Footwear reached US$12.26 million, a decrease 18.78 percent over the same period last year.


Canada is Vietnam’s largest export of footwear.


Other communities also see an export increase, such as electronic components and spare parts, metals and vegetables.
