(Cinet) – The MOCST and the RoK signed a memorandum about sports in Hanoi on the evening of March 11.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation (KSPO) signed two memoranda of understanding on sports cooperation. Minister Hoang Tuan Anh and Mr. Park Noh Wan, a chairman of the KSPO hosted the signing ceremony.
Minister Hoang Tuan Anh said assistance from the RoK, a country with strength in sports, has helped Vietnam reap certain achievements, adding that the country hopes to receive more support from the RoK in athlete training.
KSPO Chairman Park Noh Wan hailed Vietnam’s efforts to secure best results at international sports arenas despite poor training conditions.
Under those documents, the Republic of Korea (RoK) will aid Vietnam to organize the 18th Asian Games in 2019 and introduce the track cycling into the country.
At the dialogue, two sides approved for signing 2 memorandums to organize the ASIAD 18 in 2019 in Hanoi between General Department of Sports and Physical Training and South Korea Sports Development Organization and to introduce a content of cycling race in Vietnam.
