(Cinet)- Newly-elected Chairman of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) Le Hung Dung has revealed a new plan to appoint a chief coach from Japan to train Vietnamese footballers.


Dung emphasised that Vietnam’s national football squad needs the experience and input of both domestic and foreign coaches who have different approaches, tactics and professional skills at the VFF’s 7th Congress in Hanoi on March 25.


Establishing a long-term development strategy for the local football sector until 2020, with a focus on hiring foreign coaches, fostering comprehensive cooperation and calling for sponsorship.


The VFF Chairman also highlighted fruitful cooperation with Japan.
