Nhan Dan – Minister of Transport Dinh La Thang on March 1 visited the construction sites of three major projects in Hanoi including Nhat Tan Bridge, the highway connecting Nhat Tan Bridge with Noi Bai Airport and Terminal T2 at the Noi Bai Airport to ask investors and contractors to ensure the completion of the projects by the end of this year.


The three projects are scheduled for completetion by the end of 2014 and with time running out, contractors are racing to meet the deadline.


Do Tat Binh, Deputy Director of the Airport Corporation of Vietnam (ACV), also head of the Management Board of Terminal T2, said that 66% of the Terminal T2 project is complete, and the remainer is on schedule.


Director of the Management Board 85, Nguyen Thanh Van said that the construction of the Nhat Tan Bridge is on track and it will be opened to traffic in October 2014. The highway linking Nhat Tan Bridge with Noi Bai Airport will also complete in October, he noted.


Minister Dinh La Thang praised investors, contractors and relevant agencies for their effective co-ordination in carrying out the three projects.


He stated that the contractors of the projects are all prestigious companies, thus they should prove their ability by ensuring the progress and quality of these projects, becoming models of effective co-operation between Vietnam and Japan.
