The information was released at a ceremony to announce Viet Nam’s 2013 PCI list in Hanoi this morning on 20 March 2013. With 65.56 points, Thua Thien Hue climbed up from the 30th place in the year 2012 to the second of the country in the year 2013.
To get this result, for the past period Thua Thien Hue has carried out strong solutions to overcome limitations leading to the fall- off in the provincial PCI. The province has focused on raising the effectiveness of operation, completion of mechanism and policies and improvement of business investment; performing administrative reform, enhancing public service quality in a reasonable and favorable trend for enterprises, especially in the issue of investment and business certificates and land use right certificates, etc.
Da Nang city ranks at the top this year. The Central coastal region ranking in the Excellent tier beside Thua Thien Hue (the 2nd) is Quang Ngai province with 62.60 points (the 7th)
Seven provinces and cities topping in the Excellent tier are Da Nang, Thua Thien Hue, Kien Giang, Quang Ninh, Dong Thap, Ben Tre and Quang Ngai.
Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Cao received the certificate stating the country having the most achievements in PCI in the year 2013.
