In the afternoon of 26 March 2014, delegation of Rotary District 5160 experts from United States had a trip to support the disabled in the province under the guidance of Viet Nam Red Cross.
On this occasion, 33 disabled people were fixed functional prosthetic hands at fully-functioning fingers with total value of over $8,000.
The prosthetic hands manufactured and donated by Stacks Plastics will enable a movement-impaired person to grip and use eating utensils, writing instruments, and hygiene devices within minutes. Recipients were chosen on a need-basis in conjunction with the Quang Ngai Provincial Red Cross, local health departments and other relevant agencies.
