On March 26, provincial leaders solemnly organized a ceremony for thurifying and offering flowers at the martyrs’ cemetery of Hue City to mark the 39th anniversary of the liberation of Thua Thien Hue Province (26/3/1975 – 26/3/2014) and the 83rd anniversary of the establishment of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.
Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thien, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Mr. Nguyen Van Cao, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; representatives of the Provincial Permanent People’s Council, the Provincial People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front of the Province; representatives of provincial departments, associations, armed forces; and representatives of cities and districts.
At the ceremony, provincial leaders stroke 7 bells at Hoa Binh (Peace) bell-tower. Then representatives of the province, HueCity, provincial departments, associations, armed forces, and districts respectively offered flowers and thurified at the monument. After a minute’s silence in memory of Uncle Ho and heroic martyrs, everybody visited and thurified at each martyrs’ grave.
