Over VND 36 billion to light up National Highway No 1

March 24, 2014 – PPC Vice Chairman Dinh Van Thu signed the project of lightning construction on the National Highway No 1 from km947 to km1027 through Quang Nam Province.

Accordingly, the road lightning system through urban and high density areas with the total length of 11.34 km will be completed; while the underground work for the rest 26.81 km long road be done in advance.

This project will be implemented on widened parts of the National Highway No 1 passing through the districts of Duy Xuyen, Que Son, Thang Binh, Phu Ninh, and Nui Thanh. Being started in 2014, the project costs VND 36.8 billion financed by the State budget. This lightning project is aimed at gradually completing the lightning system on the whole widened National Highway No 1 with an eye to reduce traffic accidents.
