Japan helps improve equipment of Vietnam Youth Theatre

On March 12, the Vietnam Youth Theatre and the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam signed an agreement to improve the theatre’s technical equipment and performer capabilities.

The agreement was signed by theatre director Truong Nhuan and Minister-Counsellor of the Japanese Embassy Hideo Suzuki Hideo.

Accordingly, the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam and the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam will provide VND1.7 billion (USD80,000) in non-refundable aid to upgrade outdated equipment.

In addition, Japan will provide funding to send 15 artists and technicians from the theatre to a training course held in Japan from March 22 to July 13./.
